Foodbank

Year 12 and 13 decided they wanted to have a foodbank collection at the end of the last half term. We invited in a guest speaker from the Trussell Trust to talk about the growing need for foodbanks in Liverpool. The following week, our 6th form did a foodbank collection. In exchange for collected tins of food, they had a non-uniform day. In total students collected in excess of 1,000 items. The Trussell Trust van collected the items after half term - students helped to load up the van.

We are very proud of their generosity and kindness. They have clearly shown our school values of compassion and justice (social justice) in practice.

Some Year 12s also delivered assemblies to lower school describing their role as courageous advocates in the fight against poverty.
