Student Voice

Whether you are a pupil, parent, member of staff, former pupil or simply a passing surfer, thank you for visiting our website: you are very welcome here.

Student Voice

The Student Council and Year Committees provide the 'student voice' within St Margaret's. Regular meetings and suggestions enable the students' views to be heard and provide a forum for discussion on a range of issues important to our students. These views are taken seriously and form part of the school's decision-making process.

Prefects – each year around 15% of the boys in Year 11 will assume the role of Prefect. Towards the end of Year 10 there is an application round and then a selection process; competition is keen and the boys take the ensuing responsibility very seriously. These students provide invaluable support to the staff team. The role also has an ambassadorial aspect and the Prefects will assist with school events, tours, parent consultations and open evenings, providing the public face of the student body.
