On June 18th, all our Year 9 boys took part in an Enterprise Day hosted by the Maths Department in partnership with NatWest Bank. Twenty groups competed as catering companies tendering for a special gala dinner for 100 visitors to Liverpool for the International Festival of Business.
By the afternoon, each group was able to give a presentation to their form and five finalists presented to the whole year group and a panel of judges in the Resources Centre. The winners were “Il Cibo Del Re” from 9C. They offered a delicious menu of Italian cuisine at Sefton Cricket Club with some entertainment from a live band.
Student feedback suggested that an enjoyable day was had by all and that useful skills were developed in presentation, leadership, listening to others, teamwork, time management and financial planning.
