16-19 Tuition Fund

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is a one-off fund for 2020-21. Primarily, it will be used to provide small group tuition for students aged 16 to 19 who have not yet achieved a grade 4 or above in English and/or maths. The provision may not be limited to tuition for English and maths, it may be used to run short catch-up courses where assessment may have been deferred because of lockdown.

Tuition groups will comprise of no more than five students and the tuition sessions will be scheduled in addition to the planned programme of study hours already timetabled for the academic year 2020/21. Because of the ongoing pandemic, tuition is likely to be delivered remotely.

St Margaret's Church of England Academy is committed to ensuring the tuition fund is used in accordance with the Government’s guidance on the 16 to 19 tuition fund.
