Educate Recognition Awards

At the start of December Miss Kinloch’s Volunteering scheme was shortlisted from many other schools in the region as a finalist in the Educate Awards sponsored by Mersey Travel. There were four other schools shortlisted and St Margaret’s came runners up. Miss Donaghy was also present at the awards ceremony as she helps Miss Kinloch organise the charity fun run events of which the next will be the Liverpool Half Marathon and we have 30 Year 11 and 12s signed up for, along with staff. This will be in aid of AlderHey ‘vision4kids’ of which one of our old boys David Devine is the patron.

A massive thank you to Mrs Roberts for her help in organising the application for the award but the biggest thanks most go to our OUTSTANDING students who so willingly give their time up for others (fun runs, homeless shelters, shoe box warehouse, nursing home visits and literacy programmes, the list goes on!). The volunteering scheme would just be an idea without the hardwork and the amazing positive attitude of our fantastic students. Well done boys, we are immensely proud of you all.
