Work Inspiration Programme - Can You Help?

This year, St. Margaret's CE Academy, in conjunction with Liverpool Compact Education Business Partnership, are trialling a new perspective on Work Experience to be known as 'Work Inspiration'.

CAN YOU HELP?!

We are looking for schools, companies and organisations to come on board and support our brand new 'Work Inspiration' programme. Are you able to help? *(Full information is given below) If you have are able to accommodate a student/group of students, or would simply like more information, please contact Greg McLean (Careers Manager) on 0151 427 1825 or gmclean@stmargaretsacademy.com

We have recognised that our students would benefit greatly from an experience in the world Of work in "Half Day" sessions over an extended time period.

We have this year set aside time on a Thursday afternoon that will enable students to undertake a placement and get a real feel of working life, develop their responsibility and enhance their employability skills.

For the first half of the academic year, students are learning all about the work-place and being prepared for the world of work with a series of lessons on a host of topics. This will stand them in good stead ahead of their placement.

Work Inspiration aims:

  • To offer an insight into "the real world" outside of school
  • To gain an understanding of the pressures of work life
  • To enhance their ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • To build confidence

The placement programme will start on Thursday 9th February 2017 and continue each Thursday until 6th July 2017.

Placements will be rigorously monitored by the school to ensure both students and our Employer Partners gain maximum benefit.

As mentioned above, if you have are able to accommodate a student/group of students, or would simply like more information, please contact Greg McLean (Careers Manager) on 0151 427 1825 or gmclean@stmargaretsacademy.com
