A big well done is in order…A team of dedicated pupils and staff took part in the Mad Dog 10k race in Southport on Sunday 10th February. The team of resilient runners consisted of Mr Keenan, Miss Donaghy and Miss Kinloch, and three year 11 students: Sam; Jake; and Liam.
Our team were amongst 2,500 runners who braved the cold on Sunday morning to complete the challenging race. They managed to raise an amazing £100 for the cancer research, a very worthy cause! Even more impressive, this 10k race is just a taste of what our three students will be getting themselves into… they, and 20 other students, will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon on 17th March.
This fantastic achievement can not only be added to a CV to make it stand out from the crowd, but it also counts as volunteering hours, and so our students can include this in their school volunteering passports!
