University? Work? Apprenticeship? Degree Apprenticeship? Gap Year?

Russell Group Universities

Every year, more than 160,000 students from the UK and nearly 90,000 from the rest of the world choose to join the 320,000 students who are already studying at a Russell Group University. There they will learn from some of the world’s finest minds, have access to the very best teaching facilities and be part of a talented, diverse peer group.

For anyone thinking about university, the UCAS website has a comprehensive overview of universities and courses. It also has apprenticeship information.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships allow you to combine work and study by mixing on-the-job training with classroom learning. You will be employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week either at a college or a training centre. There are more and more degree apprenticeships becoming available too. Apprenticeships tend to fall into three groups:-

  • Intermediate Level Apprenticeships
  • Advanced Level Apprenticeships
  • Higher Apprenticeships
