2026 Building Works

St Margaret’s Church of England Academy, is set to benefit from a significant multi-million-pound expansion and sustainability programme as part of All Saints Multi Academy Trust’s continued investment in its schools.

The expansion is in response to growing demand for school places across Liverpool. This ambitious project marks the next phase of the academy’s long-term development strategy, designed to enhance the student learning environment, support an inclusive school community, increase capacity, and substantially reduce the academy’s carbon footprint.

The sustainability-focused works will introduce a range of low-carbon technologies and energy efficiency improvements across the academy, sixth form, and sports facilities. These include the installation of solar photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps, heating system upgrades, building fabric improvements, and a new substation.

The expansion and remodelling programme will create new spaces designed to enhance both academic and pastoral life. Developments include a new build extension centred around its ‘heart space’, enhancements to dining facilities, modifications to the drama studio, and the refurbishment of administrative areas.

Construction commenced in February, with completion expected in October 2026. The programme has been carefully phased to minimise disruption to the school day, with works planned around term times and school holidays.
