The Parents Association is a fund raising body of parents, who help with extra support for the school. We work with the Principal and senior leadership team of the school to identify where additional funding is required. Each year we support the Year 7 Eucharist with a cheese and wine reception. Some of our initiatives range from providing equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, assisting with trips and in the past fund raising for the school minibus. This year, 2013, we are actively supporting the school in its drive to improve the outdoor environment used at break and lunchtime.
We rely on support from parents for our fund raising activities. Support for social evenings (race nights and murder mystery nights) has dwindled over recent years. Therefore, this year we will be focusing on one main funding raising event – the Christmas Fair in November and we always need assistance in obtaining raffle prizes, promoting the fair, setting up and of course running stalls. If you are able to provide any assistance, or work for a company who could donate a prize or even offer match funding for one of the stalls please contact us.
In an effort to raise more we have introduced a uniform re-cycling scheme. We will advertise dates for parents to send in ‘outgrown ‘ uniform , sports kits and other useful items that we can launder and the offer for re-sale at greatly reduced prices. Messages will be sent home to let you know when these will be. We will be happy to supply ‘emergency items’, for example ties, jumpers and sports kit that are needed for the ‘next day’, as we know how these items can easily get lost or misplaced. If you have more expensive items for example ‘cricket kits’ that you would like us to keep a record of, in case anyone wants to purchase from you, please send that information to Carolyne Wilson on the below number and she will put interested parties in touch with you. If you cannot send donated uniform in on the advertised dates, please contact Carolyne and she will try and make arrangements for collection by the PA. Please do not take donations into school other than on the nominated dates.

Please contact us if you have any ideas for fundraising or wish to offer some help, even if only for a couple of hours. We are counting on all parents to continue the good works of the association as current members will eventually leave when their children move on from the school.
