On October 15th our sixth form students studying Government/Politics were delighted to welcome Councillor Jake Morrison who took time out of his busy schedule to come into school. The purpose of the visit was to highlight how young people can become involved in "Grass Roots Politics", and was part of class discussions around the theme of participation.
Jake talked about his involvement and also answered questions on a wide range of political issues. At the end of the session he remarked on how well-informed and "clued-up" our students were! Thank you, Councillor Morrison!
