St Margaret's Church of England Academy
Michael Gove has written to school to inform us that he has agreed to enter into a Funding Agreement with us to allow St Margaret's Church of England School to convert into an Academy. The date of conversion, when the school will open as an Academy, will be 1st October 2012.
The school will be known as 'St Margaret's Church of England Academy'.
Dr David F Dennison, Headmaster of St Margaret's Church of England Technology and Language College said in his letter to staff, "On behalf of the Governing body I am pleased to wish you all every success as you turn the page and enter a new chapter in the school's history". He added, "those of us who have become fond of the abbreviation 'SMA' can of course continue to use it".
