Fond Memories of Randall

Family, friends, former colleagues and school representatives gathered in St Anne's Church for a special service to celebrate the life of former Headmaster, Randall Enoch OBE. During the service a number of tributes were heard, firstly from former Deputy Headmaster, Mr Eric Linford, who spoke highly of Randall's service to education at St Margaret's. He commented on how Randall led St Margaret's to Grant Maintained status, and his passion for the school, and its students. Tributes were also heard from Professor Gerald Pillay, Vice Chancellor & Rector of Liverpool Hope University, and Mr Michael Pitts, of St Peter's Church, Formby.

Professor Pillay reflected on the first time he met Randall and his dedication to Hope University and how he served as a Governor of Hope. Lastly, Michael Pitts commented on Randall's faith, his work as a layman in the Church and the work he did to help candidates for ordination in the Diocese of Liverpool. It was obvious that Randall's Christian faith underpinned all that he did. After the service, a reception was held in the school for all who gathered to further share their memories of Randall, and the impact he made on their lives.
